The role and its responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible for the AkzoNobel pension scheme for all employees in the Netherlands. That entails developing pension policies and implementing pensions legislation while translating your work into integrated solutions for business, HR and the pension fund.  In addition, you will support Collective Labour Agreement negotiations for the pension scheme as well as HR, Talent Resourcing and People Services regarding complicated (non-standard) pension issues. You should be capable of building and maintaining a network of internal and external stakeholders and suppliers. In short you will be the face of pension expertise within the company.

Alongside your pension responsibilities you will also take responsibility for our Job Evaluation in the Netherlands using an ORBA based reference system or Job Family Modeling (JFM) from Hay. This will cover all levels except executive grading. You will also be project leader for international job evaluation projects and, in conjunction with Talent Management/HR, develop career paths for RD&I.

Lastly, you will play a key role in determining employee remuneration. In particular, you will advise on pay issues and assume overall responsibility for the yearly salary review in the Netherlands. Additionally you will investigate and develop premium pay structures in The Netherlands while benchmarking salaries/total cash internally and externally.

Candidate profile

  • • University degree and 7+ years of relevant experience;
  • • In-depth knowledge of job evaluation and pensions;
  • • In-depth analytical and decision making skills allied with sound business acumen;
  • • Results oriented approach and the ability to be innovative and pro-active;
  • • Good Excel skills;
  • • Good verbal and written communication in both Dutch and English.
