Help drive new levels of efficiency and service across multiple functions for a forward thinking global player
AkzoNobel creates everyday essentials to make people’s lives more liveable and inspiring. We are a leading global producer of paints, coatings and specialty chemicals, supplying essential ingredients, essential protection and essential color to industries and consumers worldwide.
Central to our current and future success is a Global Business Services (GBS) capability that is driving greater efficiency, effectiveness, and enhanced customer service levels across areas including Procurement, HR, Finance and IM.
Within this context, your mission in this role is to support the Business Insights Manager and the GBS Controller as we deploy and maintain a newly designed benefit tracking process aimed to capture, quantify and report all benefits generated by the GBS organization.
Is this a challenge that matches your profile as a highly analytical and flexible team player with a relentless eye for detail? Do you have the confidence and accuracy to work with large financial numbers? Could you convince multiple stakeholders of the benefits of applied benefit calculation methodology? Above all, do you have the ambition and flexibility to make a real difference within our dynamic, multinational and multicultural business environment?
The role and its responsibilities
From here you perform a wide range of benefit-tracking activities and ad hoc projects. In doing so you analyze initiatives and report on the realized benefits to the Business Insights Manager, and help the GBS Controller to translate the realized benefits into budgetary requirements.
Specific tasks include monitoring the costs of outsourced contracts such as Infosys, and updating and ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the benefit realization tracker. You also run cost and benefit analyses and propose changes to the benefit realization capture mechanism.
Working closely with the GBS Controller you maintain an up to date, complete and accurate list of open and closed benefit receivables, and work with other GBS colleagues to align on business cases and follow project completeness.
All of this requires you to prioritize between core responsibilities and to accommodate unexpected and pressing requests. You should also be able to liaise and build connections with a large number of remote stakeholders and team members in multiple locations.
