Royal HaskoningDHV Industry & Buildings is now hiring a Business Developer Industry.

As our Business Developer you will boost the brand of Royal HaskoningDHV within the Chemical and Heavy Industry in the Netherlands. You will make use of your excellent network at board level to bring Royal HaskoningDHV in position. In line with our strategy we wish to further strengthen our market position and realize revenue growth within the industry market. We support our clients in reaching their strategic objectives. In doing so we provide economically sound, safe and sustainable solutions to their challenges. We focus on long lasting relationships and look for true partnerships with our clients.

You will actively work on increasing our profile with new clients and contribute to an increasing sales portfolio. Preparation of proposals, leading proposal teams, commercial negotiation and contractual arrangements form part of your daily business. You are able to develop new business as well as expand our service portfolio with existing clients by working closely with our clients and colleagues.

You are a professional with a passion for Chemical and Heavy Industry related developments. You have a strong network in the Chemical and Heavy industry and are looking to help us expand our services and develop high profile projects. You will work with internal and external stakeholders. You will build upon our strong track record and brand of Royal HaskoningDHV, by linking this position towards new opportunities in the market.

As a member of our Management Team, you will:

  • Boost the brand of Royal HaskoningDHV within the Chemical and Heavy Industry by taking the lead for all marketing activities and guiding market sector intelligence and market sector knowledge.
  • Help to expand and coordinate our business development within the market segments of (especially) Chemical and Heavy Industry.
  • Identify opportunities for the development of service portfolio in response to industry development, trends and challenges.
  • Organise active portfolio management of our new and existing clients.
  • Professionalize account management in the named fields.
  • Work close together with our other business developers (Energy, Oil & Gas, Government) to unlock the full potential of our business unit over different market segments.
  • Work close together with our innovation team to identify and implement new services in the different market segments and to formulate new ideas from clients.
  • Lead and inspire staff to be commercial savvy.

We are looking for a Business Developer who has:

  • A strong track record in the Chemical and Heavy Industry sector, with experience in the business to business environment.
  • 10 – 15 years of experience with market implementation of new services and solutions and building successful partnerships in the Chemical and Heavy Industry sector.
  • A proven track-record in sales of services and able to use consultancy skills to start new business.
  • A broad network at decision making level of key stakeholders and/or board level, like industrial clients, energy companies and governments.
  • Insight in market development in the Chemical and Heavy Industry sector and ability to adapt portfolio accordingly.
  • Business acumen, recognizes profitability and revenue potential in business opportunities.
  • Excellent social skills in teams and client relations.
  • The ability to initiate, to inspire, to drive and to perform boosting revenue growth and its profitability within the (petro)chemical and heavy industry.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in Dutch and English.
  • Specific knowledge and expertise on business case development would be considered as an asset.
